Amateur radio enthusiasts meet

Kona Amateur Radio Society will hold its annual meeting from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the south end of Wawaloli Beach Park at the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority. Anyone interested in amateur radio is invited.

The gathering will include a potluck and the election of officers and directors.

Park amphitheater closes for renovations

The visitor center amphitheater at Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park is closed for renovations and will remain closed until much needed upgrades are completed.

The park visitor center and access to the park’s royal grounds, Hale O Keawe and the Puuhonua will remain open while the work proceeds in the adjacent amphitheater.

Upgrades to the amphitheater will include replacing and upgrading the electrical wiring, lighting, sound systems and audio/visual technology equipment. When the work has been completed, the amphitheater will reopen and the park will be able to present programs to the public with the assistance of current technology audio/visual quality programing.

Codependent women’s group meets Monday

A Co-Dependents Anonymous women’s meeting is slated from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Unity Church sanctuary, 75-5722 Hanama Place, across from Big Island Grill in Kailua-Kona.
